NYC is leading the charge to implement sustainable best practices within its built environment. From the pioneering legislation mandating energy benchmarking, to the recent regulations challenging property managers and owners to aggressively reduce their carbon emissions, NYC is taking no prisoners in the quest to address climate risk.
IREM has been an advocate of responsible, effective and professional property management practices since its founding over 85 years ago. The Energy & Sustainability Committee of the Greater NY Chapter is convening a panel of experts to provide practical guidance on how property owners and managers can meet the challenge of improving energy efficiency and complying with the regulations affecting their properties.
The focus of the panel will be primarily on the requirements of Local Law 97, including strategies for compliance, and mitigating the financial impacts that would be imposed for non-compliance. A brief overview of the history leading up to the passage of LL97 will offer attendees context to better understand the purpose and intent of the legislation. The program will close with a Q&A segment to allow attendees to pose specific issues and questions to the panelists.
After the panel & discussion, all attendees are invited to join us downstairs at Bread & Tulips for a cocktail and light bar snacks.
A big THANK YOU to our IREM NYC Industry Partners for sponsoring this event!
